Will Tonight’s Debate Focus on the Economy?

Financial Expert and Nationally Syndicated Host Dan Celia Says Trump Must Keep His Cool and Continue to Hammer Economic Issues—One of Clinton’s Weaknesses

PHILADELPHIA, Pa.—If there’s one issue Donald Trump must hone in on during tonight’s debate, it’s the economy, says financial expert and nationally syndicated host Dan Celia.

“This debate, and the election over these next several weeks, really should be centered on jobs and the economy,” said Celia recently on his show, “Financial Issues.” “If Donald Trump is asked a question about the weather, his answer has to be about jobs and the economy. If he is asked a question about Vladimir Putin or the nuclear deal with Iran, his answer has to be about jobs and the economy. We’ve got one chance at leaving or creating or rebuilding an America for our children and grandchildren that we might recognize.”

Celia, who leads Financial Issues Stewardship Ministries (FISM, www.financialissues.org), added that four years of a Hillary Clinton presidency will be “more of the same,” especially when it comes to the economy.

“If Hillary Clinton is elected,” Celia continued, “we will see the continuation of demonizing profits, demonizing Wall Street, more government intervention, more regulation, more complexities of the tax code—all of that equaling a disincentivizing corporate America. So it will be worse than the last seven and a half years under President Obama. She has stated that she will create jobs; it is not the job of the government to create jobs. The government cannot create jobs; what the government can do is create an environment by which the private sector will create jobs. Again, Hillary Clinton will be a continuation of the radical regime of Obama and will not create an environment that will be good for America’s workers.”

“Hillary Clinton, by all accounts, will keep us on the trajectory of ‘prosperity’ through tax-and-spend policies,” Celia said. “These policies, of course, are akin to Obama’s ‘strength through weakness.’ If there’s one upside to this, it’s that we know where it leads—we’ve had eight years of it. The only way we could ever have prosperity in the eyes of the progressive left is with bloated governments and more social control. Almost everything Hillary Clinton has mentioned in her economic plan involves expansion and expense of the government. She mentioned the unleashing of the private sector, but it is quite obvious that means ‘unleashing’ the private sector as long as the government is firmly in control and getting far more than its fair share.”
