Financial Issues Stewardship Ministries Partners with Dr. Robert Jeffress for ‘Countdown to the Apocalypse’ Retreat in April

Three-Day Event with Financial Expert Dan Celia and Dallas Pastor/Fox News Contributor Robert Jeffress Will Focus on Honoring God with Our Money Even in Uncertain Times

PHILADELPHIA—The fluctuating economy can be daunting for many Americans, as financial insecurity can cause anxiety and worry for young investors just starting out, for families saving for college, and for soon-to-be retirees preparing for the years ahead.

Financial expert and national television and radio host Dan Celia, also the leader of Financial Issues Stewardship Ministries (FISM,, is partnering with well-known pastor Dr. Robert Jeffress for a three-day retreat titled “Countdown to the Apocalypse,” which will explore honoring God with our money, even as the world economy is in turmoil.

Jeffress is senior pastor of the 12,000-member First Baptist Church in Dallas, a Fox News contributor and an adjunct professor at Dallas Theological Seminary.

“When the market is volatile, we all can feel anxious and worried about our financial future,” Celia said. “But if we invest in accordance with God’s Word and focus on biblical stewardship, there doesn’t have to be any fear,” Celia said. “These are the concepts Dr. Robert Jeffress and I will discuss next month at the ‘Countdown to the Apocalypse’ retreat in Branson. When we keep our eyes on the One who provides all of our resources in the first place, and allow Him to guide us in our finances—and our lives—we can’t go wrong.”

The “Countdown to the Apocalypse” event is set for April 27-29 at the Chateau on the Lake at 415 North State Highway 265 in Branson, Mo. Rooms are limited and reservations are expected to fill quickly. To make reservations, which include all sessions and meals with two nights of accommodations, call (888) 333-5253. Options are also available for sessions and meals only. Evening worship will be provided by Marty Goetz.

Jeffress has made more than 2,000 guest appearances on various radio and television programs and regularly appears on major mainstream media outlets, such as Fox News Channel’s “Fox and Friends,” “The O’Reilly Factor,” “The Kelly File,” “Hannity,” “The Real Story” with Gretchen Carlson, ABC’s “Good Morning America” and HBO’s “Real Time with Bill Maher.”

The pastor also hosts the daily radio program, “Pathway to Victory,” which is heard nationwide on more than 800 stations in major markets such as Dallas-Fort Worth, New York City, Chicago, Los Angeles, Houston, Seattle and Washington, D.C. His weekly television program can be seen in 195 countries and on thousands of cable and satellite systems throughout the world, including in China and on the Trinity Broadcasting Network and Daystar.

Jeffress is the author of 23 books including “When Forgiveness Doesn’t Make Sense,” “Perfect Ending: Why Your Eternal Future Matters Today,” “Countdown to the Apocalypse: Why ISIS and Ebola Are Only the Beginning,” and his newest book, “Not All Roads Lead to Heaven: Sharing an Exclusive Jesus in an Inclusive World.”

Jeffress recently led his congregation at First Baptist Church in the completion of a $135 million re-creation of its downtown campus. The project is the largest in modern church history and serves as a “spiritual oasis” covering six blocks of downtown Dallas.

Celia focuses on financial stewardship every day when talking to thousands who want to honor God with their finances. Celia also often educates listeners and viewers about his stock “sell” list, encouraging those who strive to be biblically responsible with their investing to sell certain stocks based on the company’s involvement in immoral or anti-biblical issues, such as having stake in Planned Parenthood funding, pornography or other organizations that should be concerning to Christians.

Celia hosts the daily, two-hour radio and television program, “Financial Issues Live,” where he takes calls from around the country, answering questions about investing, estate planning, giving, saving and stewarding finances in wise and godly ways.

“Financial Issues” has grown through radio, television and live streaming and now airs on more than 200 radio stations across the country. The program is also seen on the National Religious Broadcasters (NRB) television network, reaching 45 million households, and BizTV, which reaches millions more in major markets, along with other independent radio and TV stations.

Throughout the year, Celia also hosts popular and well-attended town hall gatherings at churches and other venues, where people can spend an evening with him to learn more about how to biblically manage their money and investments.

A financial expert and author backed by decades of financial experience, Celia is personally in touch with thousands of people each week from across the country. He has worked for 35 years as an entrepreneur and businessman, and has developed a biblically responsible system of financial management with great success. Celia started his radio program in 1997 and has interviewed newsmakers, experts, lawmakers and presidential candidates. He is a board member for American Family Association, speaks at conferences, town hall meetings and investment conferences around the country, is the author of six books and publishes a weekly newsletter.
