State of the Carbon Footprint
Financial Expert and National Radio Host Dan Celia Asks What Nobody Else is Asking: ‘Why is President Shipping Crude Oil to Other Countries and Increasing Carbon Emissions?’
PHILADELPHIA—In his recent State of the Union Address, President Barack Obama worked hard to point out all the good he had done for the country during his presidency, and all the good he still planned to do.
As an example of one of those statements: “…(W)e cut our imports of foreign oil by nearly 60 percent,” the president said, “and cut carbon pollution more than any other country on Earth.”
Financial expert and national talk show host Dan Celia of Financial Issues Stewardship Ministries (FISM, www.financialissues.org) yesterday pointed out the irony of the president’s statements on his radio and television show, “Financial Issues Live.”
“Now here’s a president who says he wants to cut carbon emissions more than any other leader on the face of the Earth,” Celia said, “because he believes that America is the biggest culprit of global warming in the world and that only America is creating global warming. This is the great irony of it—a president who is touting cutting carbon pollution at the very same time that he signs a bill to export crude oil. If he really cared about pollution and global warming, why would he export crude oil so that it can be refined in factories and plants that don’t have even close to the EPA regulations (found domestically) or the ability to cleanly refine that energy? So for every barrel that is being exported, he’s making a far greater carbon footprint with that barrel of oil than he would if he had kept it here and would have boosted refineries in America, and creating hundreds of thousands of permanent jobs here in America instead of exporting jobs and creating a much larger global carbon emissions footprint.”
Daily, Celia shares stewardship principles and financial advice on “Financial Issues Live,” where he takes calls from around the country, answering questions about investing, estate planning, giving, saving and stewarding finances in wise and godly ways.
“Financial Issues” has grown on both the radio and television sides and now airs on more than 350 radio stations across the country. The program is also seen on the National Religious Broadcasters (NRB) television network, reaching 45 million households, and BizTV, which reaches millions more in major markets, along with many other independent radio and TV stations.
Celia also often educates listeners and viewers about his stock “sell” list, encouraging those who strive to be biblically responsible with their investing to sell certain stocks based on the company’s involvement in moral or biblical issues, such as having stake in Planned Parenthood funding, pornography or other non-biblical areas that should be concerning to Christians.
Throughout the year, Celia also hosts popular and well-attended townhall gatherings at churches and other venues, where people can spend an evening with him to learn more about how to biblically manage their money and investments.
A financial expert and author backed by decades of financial experience, Celia is personally in touch with thousands of people each week from across the country. He has worked for 35 years as an entrepreneur and businessman, and has developed a biblically responsible system of financial management with great success. Celia started his radio program in 1997 and has interviewed newsmakers, experts, lawmakers and presidential candidates. He is a board member for American Family Association, speaks at conferences, townhall meetings and investment conferences around the country, is the author of six books and publishes a weekly newsletter.

Suggested social media post: The President pointed out his “commitment” to reducing the carbon footprint of the nation, but the irony lies in the fact that Obama just signed a law that will export crude oil and created a larger carbon footprint globally.
